US senators grill representatives of TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube about the impact of the content shown on those social media platforms over children and teenagers. “Everything that you do is to add users, especially kids, and keep them on your apps for longer,” says Senator Richard Blumenthal, the chairman of the Senate subcommittee hosting the hearing at the Capitol in Washington.
